RATIONALE
I chose to create an online exhibiton because i have previously dabbled in photography at a very amature level and was familiar with how to use photoshop, I thought it would be a great way to combine two mediums and create sumthing visualy interesting.
I chose Synthasite as my platform as in my personal opinion it created a cleaner more impressive exhibiton than a blog could because of the ability to better control layout. I went with synthasite instead of any other website creator because, firstly it was 100% free and secondly because of it's easy to use interface and range of customization.
Synthasite is a great choice because it allows far more options in the layout of and exhibition that a blogsite, it also has the ability ot have entirely different pages which allow the rationale to be sperate to the body of the website which in an online exhibiton is mainly imagery based.
The size of my exhibiton did raise some problems but these were easily fixed by creating new pages and using the layout tools available through synthasite. The number of photos displayed in this exhibiton meant I had to have two pages at minimum. The first page served as a comparrison of my photos against other similarr works with text, Where as the second Page acted More specifically as a gallery displaying my images at a larger size without the clutter of competing images or large sections of text.
because of the layout optionsof sythasite if my exhibiton were larger it wouldn't create any major problem it would probly only result in more scrolling or at the very worst an extra page.
Overall I have tryed to use synthasites advantages over normal blogsites to create a better gallery and a more viusally appealing online exhibiton.
